Frequently Asked Questions
For Job Seekers
Is Vetted free for job seekers?
Yes. Creating an account, browsing jobs, and applying is completely free. Always will be.
Why can I only apply to 3 jobs per day?
Quality over quantity. The 3-application daily cap means you put thought into each application, and employers take every applicant seriously. No spray-and-pray.
How does Google Sign-In work?
We use Google to verify your identity. We only access your name and email. We never post on your behalf or access your contacts.
Will employers actually respond?
Employers are rated on response speed. If they don't respond within 14 days, their rating drops automatically. Consistently slow employers get their listings demoted. This is the accountability other boards don't have.
What is the employer rating?
A score out of 5 based on two things: how fast they respond to applicants (auto-calculated) and how seekers rate their experience (anonymous one-tap rating sent 48 hours after employer responds). Ratings display after 5 reviews.
Can I see the salary before applying?
Always. Every listing on Vetted is required to show the salary range. No "competitive compensation" or "DOE." If the salary is below market benchmarks, we flag it.
For Employers
How much does it cost to post a job?
Standard: $350 for 30 days. Featured: $500 for 30 days (pinned at top + highlighted + bonus credit if filled early). No subscriptions, no hidden fees.
What is EIN verification?
We require your Employer Identification Number to verify you're a real business. This keeps scam postings off the platform and builds trust with seekers. Verification usually takes less than 24 hours.
Why do I need to show salary?
Transparency is the foundation. Seekers on Vetted expect it. Listings with clear salary ranges get more qualified applicants and fewer time-wasters.
What happens if I don't respond to applicants?
Your employer rating drops. No response in 14 days = automatic 1-star speed score. Below 2.5 for 30 days = warning. Below 2.0 for 60 days = listings demoted. We take this seriously.
What is a featured listing bonus credit?
If you purchase a featured listing and fill the role before the 30 days are up, you get one bonus standard listing credit, usable within 90 days.
Can I post in multiple verticals?
Each job post goes in one vertical. If you need to hire across different role categories, create a separate post for each. No cross-posting.
